Fulbright Information Sessions
Are you interested in studying, teaching or researching in another country for 9 months? If so you should learn more about the Fulbright US Student Scholarships!
Mr. Jeff Wing, Director of the National Scholarship Office will be holding an information session, tomorrow Thursday, April 21 at the Engineering School West Hall , Room 401 from 4-5pm.
Students unable to make Thursday’s information session should attend an Fulbright Information Session being held at the Wilder School at 2pm on Friday, April 29 in Scherer Hall 401. The Glimpse Correspondence Program is now taking applications for Fall 2011!
This program is for talented writers and photographers with a passion for storytelling and a knack for finding truly unique stories. The program is open to anyone between the ages of 18 and 36 who will be working, volunteering, or studying outside of their home country for at least 10 weeks. Correspondents receive the following benefits:
* $600 stipend
* Support from a team of professional editors
* Career training in writing and photography
* Guaranteed publication on Glimpse.org and The Matador Network

Mrs. Margaret Ozierski, the program director, will explain the nature, purpose and itinerary of the tour and take any questions you may have.
Ms. Nasha Lewis, Program Manager of VCU Education Abroad, will discuss the registration process, fees, financial aid, and answer any questions you have about these and related topics, as well as study abroad, in general.

This program is based in Guadalajara, Mexico, and will cover various cultural and systemic issues as they relate to health care in the U.S. and Mexico.

The VCU Global Education Office and the School of World Studies are pleased to offer a unique opportunity for students to study the impact of culture, migration and health systems on the health and well-being of individuals and communities at the point of origin for many newly-arrived Latino immigrants in the U.S. using Guadalajara as a case example.
