Teach English in Korea!

Teach and Learn in Korea (TaLK) Program

In an effort to promote international exchange and bring more American students to Korea, the TaLK Program funds 300 TaLK Scholars each semester to teach conversational English in rural Korean elementary schools.
The program provides a 1-month orientation for the TaLK Scholars in addition to round-trip airfare, a settling-in allowance, a monthly living stipend of approximately $1,300, health insurance and organized trips to historical locations in Korea.
Both undergraduate students and recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.
The TaLK Program website can be found at: http://www.talk.go.kr/. Applications must be submitted by June for the term beginning in August 2011 and by December for the term beginning in February 2012.

Fulbright Information Sessions

Are you interested in studying, teaching or researching in another country for 9 months? If so you should learn more about the Fulbright US Student Scholarships!
Mr. Jeff Wing, Director of the National Scholarship Office will be holding an information session, Tuesday, May 10, 2:00pm at the Honors College (701 W. Grace Street) Room 1303.
A second information session will take place Wednesday, May 11 in the Student Commons Alumni Board Room at 12:00pm. All students, staff and faculty are welcomed to attend.

Flight Help for Students Studying Abroad!

STA Travel’s Financial Aid Plan helps students to book a flight early in order to get a cheaper fare!
Study abroad students can book flights with a minimum up-front payment of $300 and pay the remaining amount 7 days before their flight.
