The VCU School of World Studies & Global Education Office is hosting the 16th Annual Student Research Conference tomorrow, November 19th, from 9:00am to 4:00pm

Our recent study abroad returnees will participate in a variety of ways. The Study Abroad Hall will be in the Student Commons Richmond Salon II. There will be six 15 minute presentations by returnees, and an hour-long Panel Discussion from 12-1 by four of our returnees!

*The Panel Discussion from 12-1 will feature 4 students who have recently studied abroad. We’ll be discussing what it is like to study in another country and how it affects students both personally and academically.
This discussion will give insight for students that are interested in going abroad and anyone that is interested in experiencing another culture first hand.

Guatemala Language and Health Care Information Session

If you think you might be interested in participating in the Guatemala Language or Health Care study abroad program, we invite you to attend an information session on Monday November 22, 2010, 6:00- 7:30 in Hibbs, room 429.
Ms. Ghislaine Mayer, the program director for the Guatemala Health Care and Culture program, Sam Peterson and Erica Kagan, program directors for the Guatemala Spanish Language and Culture program, will explain the nature, purpose and itinerary of the tour and take any questions you may have.
Ms. Stephanie Davenport , Director of VCU Education Abroad, will discuss the registration process, fees, financial aid, and answer any questions you have about these and related topics, as well as study abroad, in general.
