Online Learning Summit 2014 – May 13 & 14

Connections & Community: from Course to Commonwealth

You’re invited to participate! May 13 & 14, 2014

We invite you to our annual Online Learning Summit. This year the Summit has expanded to a 2-day event that includes two new opportunities: the Online Showcase and the Leadership Roundtable.

The Online Showcase will be conducted as a half-day event that will provide the opportunity to share ideas and practices among your colleagues who are developing and teaching online courses. This promises to be an excellent opportunity for you to make connections with your academic community across Virginia.

The second day includes a Keynote by Alec Couros, whose message will explore the possibilities and implications of connected learning in a networked world. In addition, faculty from around the Commonwealth will facilitate Interactive Presentations that will focus on three conference tracks — online course design and quality, learner success and open educational resources. The Summit ends with a Closing Panel, a discussion by members of the day’s Leadership Roundtable session.

The Summit is completely free, but seating will be limited, so we encourage you to register early for the event.

We also encourage you to submit a proposal for the Online Showcase or for the Interactive Presentations. The deadline for proposals is March 18th.
