October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. Be sure to educate your family, friends, coworkers and others you may cherish about breast cancer so they have the opportunity to prevent or detect it early. According to the National Cancer Institute, 1 in 8 women will contract breast cancer in their lifetime. It’s a reality for a lot of women, so it shouldn’t be treated as a bad word.
