There are two dimensions to the ALT Lab Learning Spaces program. The first is to collaborate with faculty who wish to use their learning spaces in more dynamic and engaging ways. The second is the Learning Spaces Fellows Program. This program works with those teaching in the ALT Lab Incubator Classroom: A learning space designed to provide faculty members and students with unique opportunities to explore how rich technology resources and flexible furniture arrangements combine to enhance teaching and learning.
One key to the cultivation and success of this program is that the web presence is populated by faculty reflections. Faculty blog about their experiences with technology and space as they challenge students to develop insights into the course topics as well as their own learning and educational choices. Students have also posted numerous reflections to this space making it a robust place for discussion on a topic that is regularly overlooked.
