Biologist (Forensic Examiner)- GA

As a Biologist (Forensic Examiner), you will be responsible for the following:

  • Perform the most complex duties in the analysis of Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) on physical evidence and material consisting of body fluid stains, hair, bone, dental pulp, and other human tissue.
  • Process request for examination which usually include the reason for which the samples were collected and background investigative information or intelligence contextual data.
  • Conducts complex examinations to develop evidence and data/information for intelligence exploitation.
  • Receives and maintains the integrity of evidence and material
  • Independently plans, organized and devises the approach necessary to obtain useful forensic information from the evidence and material submitted, taking into consideration the requirements established by agency regulations, federal law, and the Uniform Code of Military Justice and the intent of intelligence organizations and the joint force commander.
  • Establish procedures and develop new techniques, approaches, and methods.
  • Evaluates “complex┬áDNA mixtures” in order to render conclusions.


Degree in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
