We’ve had a busy weekend! A new Google domain called vcu.edu was created. We’ve created new accounts on the VCU.EDU domain to match those that exist on the APPS.VCU.EDU domain and have begun a process to migrate data between domains.
Once the migration is completed, we will post information about a cutover period while the APPS.VCU.EDU domain is removed and added as an alias for the VCU.EDU domain.
We have configured the user profile update Google Apps Directory Sync process to include employee information in a user’s profile: TITLE, DEPARTMENT, PHONE NUMBER (if present in our feed from Banner). This will help you uniquely identify those users who may have the same name in Google Apps.
We are working on adding VCU faculty/staff as shared contacts to the new VCU.EDU domain. This will allow you to lookup those contacts at VCU who are not currently in the Google Domain.
