VCU Business Services has established scholarship programs for degree-seeking students. Up to $66,500 in scholarships will be available for the 2013-14 school year. VCU AmeriCorps, in collaboration with Second Presbyterian Church and CARITAS AmeriCorps, hosts a celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, Jan. 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at Second Presbyterian Church, 5 N. Fifth St. The event will honor Dr. King’s commitment to service and encourage VCU and area community members to reflect upon how to work together to build Dr. King’s Beloved Community. Dr. Roxann Roberson-Nay, Department of Psychiatry, is seeking up to three research assistants during the spring semester, preferably juniors majoring in psychology or biology. Students will work on a NIH/NIMH funded study that examines physiological and subjective response to a laboratory challenge task. They will learn to run subjects through the study protocol, score physiological data, and learn basic statistical methods.
