The goal of the project is to validate novel cancer therapeutic targets and discover new anticancer drugs. Current focus is to apply a multidisciplinary approach to develop chemical probes. Those probes may serve as valuable tools to modulate protein post-translational modifications including methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation that involved in epigenetic processes. Also, those inhibitors have a potential to lead to the development of novel therapeutics to treat many diseases including cancer.
