Chemistry and Pharmacy Students: Summer Research

Professor Rong Huang is seeking a summer research assistant through the Honors Summer Undergraduate Research Program.

The goal of the project is to validate novel cancer therapeutic targets and discover new anticancer drugs. Current focus is to apply a multidisciplinary approach to develop chemical probes. Those probes may serve as valuable tools to modulate protein post-translational modifications including methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation that involved in epigenetic processes. Also, those inhibitors have a potential to lead to the development of novel therapeutics to treat many diseases including cancer.
