Michael Kempner

Michael W. Kempner is the founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of MWW Group, one of the largest public relations firms in the United States. In addition to running the agency as a whole, Mr. Kempner plays an active role in the management of many individual accounts. Prior to its sale to the Interpublic Group of Companies in 2000, Kempner was responsible for building MWW Group into the 4th largest independent public relations firm in the United States.
MWW Group has been named “PR Agency of the Year” by the American Business Awards; twice was named “Midsize PR Firm of the Year” by PR News; and public relations “Agency of the Year” by the prestigious Holmes Report.
A nationally recognized authority on crisis management, investor relations, public affairs, business to business, and consumer marketing and corporate social responsibility, Mr. Kempner has successfully guided corporate communications programs for hundreds of companies including Continental Airlines, Samsung and Deloitte. Additionally, Mr. Kempner is Founder and CEO of StoneAmerica Licensing and a board member of Keep A Child Alive, the Center for Food Action, and North Jersey Community Bank. Mr. Kempner has also held several positions in government at the State and Federal levels.
A frequent lecturer on a variety of public relations, management and marketing issues, Mr. Kempner is the author of numerous articles on marketing, financial transactions and crisis communications. Mr. Kempner was recently honored as PR Weeks’ Public Relations Executive of the Year and by the Stevie International Business Awards as Communications Executive of the Year. Kempner was also awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by PR News for his two decades of contributions to the public relations industry and his leadership of MWW Group.
