State Farm is pleased to announce that we have a Summer Internship Program. Space is limited and the selection process is still ongoing. All internships are paid at a rate of $15-$16 per hour depending on the location. The program will run from June 7, 2010 – August 13, 2010. Opportunities are available in the following areas:
· Charlottesville, VA
· Frederick, MD
As the world’s largest Insurance Company and an emerging leader in Financial Services, State Farm offers college students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience. Our internship program gives students an orientation to State Farm, the insurance industry and the various positions within our company. Throughout the summer, interns will gain insight into State Farm as they handle various duties and responsibilities within the organization. At the conclusion of the internship, individuals may be given consideration for full time employment following graduation. Opportunities are available in Underwriting and Claims. All housing and personal expenses are the responsibility of the intern; however, State Farm will provide a $2,500 Intern Stipend for those that relocate for this opportunity and whose permanent residence is 50 or more miles from their assigned office location. The $2,500 Intern Stipend will be subject to tax withholding. Interns receiving this benefit will be required to relocate for the entire 10 week program. Proof of new residency will be needed prior to receiving the benefit.
