What’s The Tea Project

Announcements and Articles 9 August 2012 | Comments Off

Hey there! Some really cool people have come together to do a public access show airing on Comcast this fall. The show is about Richmond’s culture, and the awesome people who are a part of it. It’ll air from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday nights beginning Sept. 20th – Oct 26th and will feature artists, musicians, designers, politicians, city officials, executives and many more important leaders in the city.

Because Comcast’s studio doesn’t have the requisite technology, we’re looking for interns who have the ability and time to tape the show and get it online promptly. Ideal candidates have their own equipment, can tape the show in a way that’s of reasonable quality and get it online within 48 hours. Ideal people are fun, very responsible, passionate and have great ideas.

There’s no pay, however, the team for the show includes professionals from one of the nation’s leading advertising firms, which is based in Richmond, a prominent law firm, VCU, and professional designers and artists — all of whom have large and expansive networks. Working on the show guarantees coming into direct contact with some of the most important people in Richmond, which means an enterprising person could not only gain great experience in TV, social media and marketing but also make lasting and valuable connections. So, while you won’t get paid now, you’ll gain valuable experience and meet lots of people face-to-face who can speed your job search.

Again, ideal candidates are fun, hard working, responsible, have the required equipment, can get the show online within 48 hours, not crazy or difficult and available on Thursdays from around 8:30 p.m. to around 10:30 p.m. for Sept. 20th to Oct. 26th. Holler back if you’re down!

Cheers!
