Direct, organize and implement all aspects and technical portions of core and supplemental and/or grant funded drunk driving prevention programs for targeted populations at the State and Local level. Responsible for all program and/or grant administration including regular liaison and reporting, achievement of established performance objectives, development of programs
to achieve objectives and adherence to all program an/or grant policies and guidelines.
Develop and design programs and events targeted to achieve specific objectives. Provide training, guidance and support by conducting training meetings, telephone coaching and on-site support.
Design, develop and implement training programs and conduct the programs at the State and Local level. Organize and host orientation meetings, evaluation meetings and training of local trainers.
Ensure that goals and objectives as designated in the program or grant are achieved.
Maintain tracking of program and/or grant results, financial reports, and the progress for evaluation and improvement. Identify areas that are not fully utilizing the resources available and ensure assistance is provided in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
One to two years experience in work with the development and implementation of community awareness, education, partnership and youth programs specifically related to areas of substance abuse. Previous experience working with programs or grant administration helpful.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet timelines and deadlines. Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills.
High proficiency level computer and MS office related products.
Travel and flexible hours are required.

The Communications Department publicizes agriculture and Farm Bureau through its membership magazines, television program, Web presence and various brochures, newsletters and press releases. Through its marketing arm, it also promotes the Virginia Farm Bureau brand and the Save Our Food campaign.
During a 12-week internship in the department, interns will get hands-on experience in the writing, video production or marketing.
A video intern will assist in the production of “Down Home Virginia,” Farm Bureau’s monthly TV program that airs on 41 cable and broadcast stations, three PBS affiliates and on the RFD-TV satellite channel. The intern also may assist with a wide range of video programming to the
A writing intern will write for Farm Bureau’s member magazines, which reach more than 147,000 households. The intern also will write news releases and prepare short news articles for Farm Bureau’s media contacts across Virginia.
The marketing intern will assist in the creation of advertisements, write copy for promotional materials, work on various promotions and attend local and regional events.
Requirements: some travel; the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines; and a willingness to learn and take on real-world work responsibilities.
Candidates for the video internship must provide demo reels on a DVD or via the Internet.
Writing internship candidates must provide writing samples.
And marketing candidates must have at least three years of college work in marketing or a related field.

General Statement of Duties
The Executive Secretary is the office manager in the agency, and is
responsible for the efficient operation of the administrative offices
at the executive level. The Executive Secretary should initiate all
mail, typing, and the flow of messages to the administrators.
Interpersonal skills are very important to the job, as well as speed
and knowledge of the computer and various kinds of word processing
software and office equipment. A positive demeanor and respect for
the homeless and urban poor are very important.
Completion of a 4 year college or 2 year associate degree program.
Office management, financial/bookkeeping and/or secretarial experience
required. Experience and significant courses may substitute for
college degree. Excellent computer skills, interpersonal skills and
the ability to work with homeless individuals.
