Blackboard Availability – May 16, 2017 Upgrade Planned

The VCU Blackboard system will be unavailable beginning at 8:00pm on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, while it is upgraded to a newer version.

Begin Time: Tuesday, May 16th, 2017, 8:00pm (EST)

End Time: Wednesday, May 17th, 2017, 8:00pm (EST)

Blackboard will NOT be available during the upgrade,  starting at 8:00pm on Tuesday, May 16th.  We expect the upgrade to take less than 24 hours, so check this blog for updates which will be posted when the system is brought back online.

All previously existing courses will be kept on the system and will be available after the upgrade.  In addition, tutorials and help will be updated and available in the Technology Services askIT Knowledge Base for Blackboard after the upgrade.  The new version is Blackboard Learn 9.1 Q4 2016.
