About Me

I am an assistant professor at VCU in the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics and and active part of the department’s research in Mathematical Biology. Our work models transport processes in cardiorespiratory physiology, including simulations of dynamics and control in response to system disturbances.

Prior to VCU I held a postdoctoral fellowship at Marquette University awarded by the American Heart Association. I received my PhD in 2008 is in applied mathematics from North Carolina State University and I also have a BS in chemical engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
