April 30 – Upcoming Emergency System Testing on Bowe Street Deck

On Wednesday, May 2, from 5 am to 7 am, Facilities Management will be onsite to test the readiness of the electrical systems in the Bowe Street Deck.  This test, performed annually, ensures that the emergency lighting, elevators, etc. will work as they should in the event of an actual power outage.

Please note, during the testing period, lighting at this facility will be lowered to emergency levels intermittently, and entry/exit gates may be raised.  Elevators should continue to remain operational throughout the test.

A VCU Parking and Transportation representative will remain onsite during the testing to ensure that traffic flows smoothly.
