The Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k race will take place this Saturday, April 14.  The race will begin on Broad and Harrison Streets and conclude near Franklin and Shafer Streets.  As one of the larger races in Richmond, heavy traffic is expected throughout the day and road closures will be implemented, beginning on Friday, April 13.

Additionally, on Saturday, April 14, the EE Lot, West Broad Street Deck and Laurel Street Deck may be inaccessible from 5 am to 5 pm.  During these times, EE Lot, West Broad Street Deck, Laurel Street Deck and MCV Campus subscribers who will need to park on the Monroe Park Campus may utilize the Henry Street Decks, located at  200 Henry Street and 201 Henry Street.  Impacted subscribers will be able to utilize these facilities until 12 am on Sunday, April 15.  Your hangtag permit or VCUCard will grant you deck access.  In the event you encounter any issues when entering or exiting the facility, please press the “i” button, located on the entrance/exit lane reader, to be connected to our 24-hour command center.  An enforcement officer will be able to provide further assistance.

Subscribers may also utilize their standard reciprocal parking options, if preferred.  A detailed list of reciprocal parking options can be found at (for employees) and (for students).


The Campus Connector will be unable to service Cabell Library, beginning at 12 pm on April 12 through 6pm on April 14.  Additionally, the Connector route will be slightly altered to bypass road closures; however all other stops will be serviced.  During the race, passengers can track the Connector on Transloc in real time, using the “Special Event – Campus Connector” route.
