Part-time Volunteer Resource Coordinator; Senior Connections, The Capital Area Agency on Aging – Richmond, VA

Non-profit seeking a self-starter for a part-time position providing resource coordination for a volunteer mentoring program.  
Duties include arranging schedules with volunteers; responding to questions and requests from volunteers and community partners; creating and maintaining manuals, forms, informational packets and related notices; organizing and maintaining data collection systems and reports; serve as liaison for volunteers and community partners; assist with
planning, scheduling and conducting orientations and trainings for volunteers; coordinate intake and placement processes for potential and new volunteers. 
Background and skills: 
  • Education in business or human services.
  • Experience with a range of software, data entry and database management.
  • Ability to work effectively with staff, volunteers, and community partners is a requirement.
  • High energy, initiative and the ability to manage multiple priorities is needed.  
  • Must have strong organizational and communication skills.  
Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

 The US Census Bureau will hold an information session on Tuesday, December 1, 2009,  from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Forum Room in the VCU Student Commons. They will be discussing part-time employment with the US Census Bureau as a census taker for the 2010 Census.

Youth and Family Dynamics Intensive In-Home Program will be accepting resumes for Full Time Qualified Mental Health Professional.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Intensive In-Home Counselor/Qualified Mental Health Professional 
Duties and responsibilities: 
• Develop service plans 
• Provide direct-care services 
• Psycho- education services 
• Document all sessions 
• Crisis de-escalation services 
• 24 hr availability 
• Crisis Intervention 
• Case Management 
• Actively participate in supervision 
• Maintain communication with social workers, referral sources, clients, families, and all related parties for the success of the clients 
• Refer to community resources as needed 

Minimum knowledge skills, and abilities, experience or professional qualifications: 
• Bachelor’s degree in human services field or social work 
• At least 1 year experience providing services to at-risk youth; 
• Ability to objectively report events, progress, and interventions 
• Ability to write professionally and communicate case activity intelligibly

The Shady Grove Family YMCA is looking for positive role models for children ages 3-12.

YMCA
of Greater Richmond

Responsibilities include sight and sound supervision of a
group of 12 – 15 children of school age.

Applicants must be responsible, energetic, and at least 18
years of age with a high school diploma or GED. Requirements include 6 months
of experience in group care of children, preferably in a licensed facility. CPR
and First Aid certifications are highly desirable. 

 

Position: Part Time

 

Salary: Minimum salary is $7.25 per hour.
