PREPARING FOR THE JOB FAIR
– Be sure to click on link above to review details on companies’ job descriptions.  The best impression is knowing what the recruiter is looking for prior to approaching the company at the job fair.
–  Finalize your resume.  If you meet the job requirements for a specific job position listed, then make sure that your resume emphasizes those skills, experience, education, etc. needed for the position.  
–  A resume can always be improved.  Be sure to take advantage of the Resume Workshop from 10am-2pm.  Marcia Baker (MARK of Success) will be meeting with  job candidates and critiquing reumes.  See below for more details.  All job candidates are invited to participate in the Resume Workshop even if you are not meeting with the participating companies.   
–  Arrive in plenty of time for networking.  Remember, showing up at 1:30 pm is not making a good impression.  It’s better to arrive earlier than later.
–  Professional dress (or military uniform) is required.  Children are not allowed in the Job Fair area. Job Candidates only are invited.   
–  Upon arrival, sign-in at Registration table and drop off a copy of your resume.
–  Bring plenty copies of your resume.

Administrative Assistant (25 hours per week); The Neighborhood Resource Center

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage donor and participant databases; collect program data and pull
reports
• Conduct basic research: grants, programs, evaluation tools, etc.
• Assist with all special events: logistics, volunteer coordination, press
contacts, etc.
• Produce outreach materials: flyers, newsletter formats, etc.
• Coordinate mass mailings
• Manage front office: phones, door, copying, faxing, etc.
• Assist the general public with questions, memberships and concerns
• Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
• Three years prior administrative experience in nonprofit setting
• Proficient in use of Excel, Access, Word, Publisher, Internet, and donor
database software. Graphic design abilities a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent rapport with the public
• Commitment to the ideals and mission of the Neighborhood Resource Center
• A sense of humor
