Job Title: Childcare Worker

Position:
1 Full Time and 1 Part Time
Job Description:
Richmond Christian Center Pre-School and Childcare has two opening. We
are in need of one fulltime worker and one part time worker. Both
individuals will be responsible for the day to day oversight of the
children to ensure a structured yet fun day of learning and activities.
Staff will be responsible to plan both long and short range activities
in accordance with curriculum objectives, meet the emotional, social,
physical and cognitive needs of each child; contribute to curriculum
planning; coordinate field trips; prepare monthly plan charts; complete
monthly assessments of children’s development ; report progress of
children to parents in written reports and through parent-teacher
conferences; maintain daily open communication with parents; keep all
appropriate records such as, attendance and time sheets; meet all
applicable licensing regulations and various other duties. 
Qualifications/Requirements:
Must be a highly motivated, self-starter, and able to work
independently. A bachelor’s degree in the field of human services is
required or equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Experience
providing children’s services to homeless families is also required. The
employee must also have the ability to develop positive working
relationships with a diverse population and handle crisis intervention
and stabilization situations. Good communication, collaboration,
organization and computer skills are also highly desired. Ability to
work in team environment is a requirement. Candidate also must pass a
background investigation. 
 
Must be available to begin work on Thursday, June 9, 2011.

Hillard House seeking Child Services Coordinator

Full Time Position 
 
Hilliard House is a transitional housing facility with 10 family units
located in Eastern Henrico County, Virginia. It provides a one year
resident program and 12 months aftercare for homeless women with
children. The Child Services Coordinator is responsible for the
development and implementation of all services provided to the children
residing at Hilliard House. 
 
 
Responsibilities include but not limited to:  Manage all staff,
volunteers, interns and subcontractors providing services in the Child
Services program; Management of appropriate expenditure of Child
Services budget; Provide case management for all children in the
Hilliard House program to include Aftercare program; Develop and execute
child care programming in the evenings, holidays, days off from school,
and during the summer; Develop relationships with mothers and provide
services for parenting, counseling and educational supports when needed;
Provide on call services for the program as needed; Collaborate and
network with area professionals, school administration, homeless county
liaisons and other service providers to best meet the needs of Hilliard
House families;  Review impact data in Child Services to ensure best
practice services for the families; Coordinate transportation for
children to daycare, school and other events; participate in weekly
house meetings, staff meetings, and supervision meetings when scheduled.
 
A bachelor’s degree in the field of human services is required or
equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.  Experience providing
children’s services to homeless families is also required.  Experience
managing employees and in program development and implementation is
highly desirable.  The employee must also have the ability to develop
positive working relationships with a diverse population and handle
crisis situations.  Good communication, collaboration and organization
skills also required. Ability to work in team environment required.
