International Health Research Workshop RESCHEDULED

When: May 19, 2014
Where: University Student Commons, Richmond Salons I & II

The 2014 International Health Research Workshop originally planned for February was postponed due to inclement weather. It has now been rescheduled for May 19, 2014.

Hosted by the VCU Global Education Office, the Office of Research, and the Institute for Drug and Alcohol Studies (IDAS), the International Health Research Workshop is one of several efforts to increase VCU’s global presence and impact. This particular workshop is intended to help faculty to successfully pursue international health research opportunities by addressing such key issues as securing funding, finding international collaborators, identifying potential challenges, and developing effective partnerships. Presenters will include representatives from USAID, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the National Institutes of Health, as well as VCU researchers engaged in international research.

The workshop is open to VCU faculty, staff and post-doctoral fellows whose experience may range from those who have never participated in an international research project to those with significant international research experience.
