Environmental Health Research Experience Program (EH REP) – University of Washington Seattle
The Environmental Health Research Experience Program is a funded nine week, summer experience for undergraduates with interest in an interdisciplinary field that uses the tools of science to solve human health problems related to the environment. EHREP provides students with hands on experience in laboratories of leading researchers, introduces them to key environmental and occupational health issues while offering research exposure that will help them become competitive for graduate school. Students will work full-time under the supervision of a faculty mentor and will receive a stipend of $5,200.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) – Health Diagnostics Laboratory is planning a $68.5 million expansion in Richmond that’s expected to create more than 600 jobs.
Mayor Dwight C. Jones announced the expansion in the Virginia BioTechnology Research Park on Tuesday.
Jones says in a news release that the expansion will be done in two phases. When the expansion is completed, Health Diagnostics Laboratory will employ more than 950 workers.
The health management company identifies risk factors and biomarkers for cardiovascular and related diseases and provides counseling to patients.
