After more than two years of hard work and preparation, Charlie Howe is about to see the payoff. A 2007 graduate of the Center for Sport Leadership at VCU, Howe is the Championship Manager for the 2016 U.S. Open, which starts Thursday at Oakmont Country Club, outside of Pittsburgh. Howe has been on site since early 2014 getting the venue ready for the players and fans who will descend upon this legendary course this week.  Howe has been in the spotlight as the lead for all of the logistics connected to this world class sporting event: from parking & transportation to hospitality and merchandise. Recently, Howe was a guest on Greg Burton’s radio show and talked about this journey.
