CSL Alum Elected to Virginia Sports Hall of Fame

Many of our alumni were outstanding student-athletes at their undergraduate institution. Several have been inducted their school’s Athletic Hall of Fame. On Tuesday, Megan Silva-Schultz (’07) was elected to the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame. She becomes the first Division III Student Athlete to receive this honor.

Prior to earning her master’s degree from VCU, Megan compiled an incredible four year career at Randolph-Macon College, establishing herself as one of the most decorated college basketball players in state history.  Megan was a three-time All-American, leading R-MC to the National Championship game in 2005. In 2006, she was named NCAA Division III National Player of the Year and the Division III Female Athlete of the Year. Megan also won the 2006 Jostens Trophy, which honors excellence in Division III basketball, academics and community service.

You can read more about her accomplishments here.

Megan is currently Event Director with SportsBackers, Richmond’s award-winning sports commission.
