To our excitement, the weather held off and our spring 2010 Open House went off without a hitch! Thanks to all of you that came and spent the day with us. We hope that your academic sessions were informative, your tours insightful and that overall you were able to gain a better idea of what being a VCU Ram is all about!
If you missed this Open House, don’t worry. We will have two more coming up in the fall, and of course, you can always come for one of our regularly scheduled information sessions and tours. Every Monday through Saturday at 10:30 AM (with the exception of university holidays) the Welcome Center offers these services. Your information session will be led by one of our very own admissions counselors and will be followed by a walking tour with some of our fabulous student ambassadors. For more information and directions, check out the following Web site: http://www.ugrad.vcu.edu/visitvcu/index.html.
Keep in mind that some of our departments offer more specialized tours as well. Here is a list of some of these:
1. The School of the Arts offers information sessions and tours of their facilities Monday through Friday at 1:00 PM. These sessions begin at the Welcome Center and reservations are not required.
2. The School of Engineering invites students to contact them regarding scheduling a visit. You can use the online form found here or call (804) 827-7028.
3. The School of Nursing is offering special information sessions for high school students who are thinking about becoming nurses. The dates for these sessions are:
- March 31, 2010 @ 1:00 PM
- April 7, 2010 @ 1:00 PM
For details and directions, call (804) 828-5171 or (800) 828-9451.
We hope that you plan to visit us sometime soon! Check back to read our blog next week when we’ll reveal some great tips for making the most of all your college visits.
