FAQs with Felicia – Can I play sports at VCU?

by Felicia Vance, Communications Intern
There are many different ways to show off your athletic prowess at VCU! Lots of students sign up for intramural teams through VCU Recreational Sports to play basketball, tennis, soccer and even wiffleball.
VCU also has several sports club teams which are a bit more competitive and may require trying out or travelling with the team. Some club sports at VCU are ice hockey, rugby, ultimate Frisbee and football.
For people that just want to get a great work out there is the Cary Street Gym. The Cary Street gym is absolutely amazing! The gym has two pools, a rock climbing wall, basketball courts, racquetball courts, an indoor track and turf field and over 185 pieces of fitness equipment. Recently, they even added a rock climbing wall in the pool, so when you climb up you fall back into the deep end of the water!
