FAQs with Felicia – Cheering for the Black and Gold?

by Felicia Vance, Communications Intern
Even if you aren’t into playing sports as a VCU student, chances are you’ll still want to cheer on the Black and Gold! After a great run through the NCAA tournament, the men’s basketball games are sure to be as popular and busy as ever. Games are held at the Siegel Center and students get in free with their VCU ID. Make sure to get there early because the student section fills up quickly!
VCU’s baseball team plays at the Diamond which is home to the city’s minor league team, the Richmond Squirrels. A lot of students also go cheer for the men’s and women’s soccer teams. Their games are held at the Sportsbackers Stadium which is close to campus. Both baseball and soccer games are free for students with a valid VCU ID!
