Richmond, VA is hosting the UCI Road World Cycling Championships from Sept. 19 – Sept. 27, 2015 and VCU has a front row seat! This is a very exciting time for the city and the university, but here are a few things to keep in mind if you’re planning to come to campus:

1. VCU will be open. However, most facilities on campus will be considered restricted and will require VCUCard access.

2. The VCU Welcome Center will be closed during the week of the race. Information sessions and campus tours will not be conducted. We’ll resume normal information session and campus tour schedules on Mon., Sept. 28.

3. Classes on the Monroe Park Campus will not be in session; reading days will be held during this time. The academic calendar has been adjusted to ensure sufficient teaching hours are maintained.

4. Plan ahead. Richmond 2015 provides the event schedule and course maps on its website. VCU also has a comprehensive race website to help navigate your way around campus during the week.
