VCU will observe the Labor Day Holiday

The university will be closed for the Labor Day holiday from Saturday, September 3 through Monday, September 5, 2016.  Information sessions and campus tours will not be conducted on these dates.  The information sessions and campus tours will resume on Tuesday, September 6, 2016.

Freshman Move-in 2016

It’s almost time for us to welcome the VCU Class of 2020 to campus! On Saturday, August 20, nearly 4,200 new students and their families will come to Richmond and participate in freshman residence hall move-in process. If you’re a new VCU student (or family member) and haven’t already done so, be sure to check out Residential Life and Housing’s move-in website for information on things that you should bring to campus to make your residence hall more like home and how to read your housing assignment.

Whether you’re moving in or coming to campus for our information session and campus tour on Saturday, please be aware of the following street closings to through traffic from 5 a.m.-8 p.m.:

Franklin Street between Harrison and Belvidere streets
Harrison Street between Broad and Marshall streets
Laurel Street between Grace and Cary streets
Cherry Street between Main and Cary streets
​Madison Street between Cary and Main​ streets
