Richmond has so many wonderful festivals to offer during the summer months. The Richmond Greek Festival is held this year June 1st-4th, 2017. This is the 42nd year that this festival has been held at the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
The hours of operation for the festival are: Thursday, June 1st- 11:00 am to 9:30 pm with the Cathedral Choir concert at 8:00 pm. Friday, June 2nd- 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. Saturday, June 3rd- 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. Sunday, June 4th- 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
This festival will have different Greek main courses and sides to try and purchase like Calamari, Dolmades, Greek Salad, Spanakopita, Gyros and much more. If you have a sweet tooth, they will have some delectable desserts to purchase like Baklava and Finikia to name a few.
Also throughout the days at the Greek Festival, you will be able to tour the Sanctuary to learn about the history of the Orthodox Christian Church. There will also be traditional music and dance from Greece to enjoy as well. Please remember to stop by the vendors to grab a keepsake or souvenir.
